In 2007, things started to change for Gaga and who she was as an artist. Her stage name started being used and she was growing her image as the popstar we all know and love, Lady Gaga. This was just a year before her hit-filled debut album under the name Lady Gaga, 'The Fame'.
In February she wore an outfit similar to one she wore in late 2006 - the last outfit I covered in my last installment of this series. I think it is similar because of the suspenders, but I actually think it is cuter than the 2006 suspenders outfit.
These photos were taken at The Red Eye Grill, she is seen in a white top with pink polka dotted suspenders attached to her jeans. She is also wearing high heels and still sporting her classic black hair, this time with a bit more bangs and a slightly more dramatic makeup look than she wore in 2006.
To me, she looks more like the Gaga we know and love to this day here. She is using more dramatic styles and is starting to evolve in both her fashion and overall style while developing more music that would end up becoming a smash hit not long after release.
In April she performed at The Bitter End - a venue where she had performed multiple times previously. The second of her April appearances was at Le Royal Club. She is wearing more "out there" looks which I love, I love when she is wearing the more interesting fashion looks; she looks great in casual, but there's something about the more experimental looks she does that I just love so much.
A few days after her performance she was seen out clubbing - she might've performed at the club she was at, but it's hard to say since the photos look like she was just having a night out at Le Royal Club.
Her eye makeup is a lot heavier than it is in previous photos from 2005 & 2006, and she is starting to truly become the artist we all know now. It wasn't long until 'The Fame' would hit the stores and the charts.
In May she wore her most unique outfit yet at Rebel in New York. She is wearing footwear by Pleaser, a brand she would go on to wear a lot of shoes by in the future.
In the same month she was seen at a bar in NYC dressed a little more casually.
And at the end of the month, one of the most important moments of her career took place. She signed her very first contract with Interscope Records. During the signing of her contract she wore Dior sunglasses.
A better look at the glasses. This was not the only time she would be photographed while wearing these stylish shades, she was also seen in them in 2008 - about a year later.
Gaga would start making even more frequent public appearances; she was starting to be more and more in the spotlight, especially with the new (and big) record contract.
In June, she had her first "real" photoshoot. She had a performance on the first of the month - but the photo of it is too foggy to really see much of anything since it's so old and was probably not taken with the best of cameras (but here it is anyways).
Her first "official" photoshoot was with Brooklyn photographer Katherine Wolkoff. The photoshoot was done for W magazine on June 4, 2007.
The pink bra she is wearing is from Agent Provocateur, a British Lingerie brand. The coat she is seen wearing overtop of the bra is by Miu Miu - a brand that is a part of the fashion house of Prada.
The shorts she is seen in with the pink look (and possibly the green look, but I think just the pink look after looking into it a tad bit more) are from 18th Amendment.
The green top with the ribbon around it is by Dior, a brand that Gaga has worn a lot of since this photoshoot (and most likely before too since she signed her contract in Dior sunnies).

Another more casual look from a bar sighting, this time in a Guns 'N Roses t-shirt and some bright yellow shorts. A very cute 80's look.
She was also seen at the Rated X Party that took place at Luke & Leroy's, where she wore a leopard print top, a cutout bodysuit similar to others she has worn previously, and gold sequined panty-cut shorts.
She was photographed at another bar by Veronica Ibarra in what appears to be a blinged out tank top.
In July she had another photoshoot and some performances at smaller venues, being known as "Lady Ga Ga" at this point in time.
She was seen performing in another heavier makeup look, this time experimenting a bit more with the shape and style of her eyeliner.
Angela Wieland photographed Gaga with Lady Starlight on the 13th of June. Lady Starlight is a friend of Gaga's (I assume they must be friends with how they collaborate) and a makeup artist for MAC cosmetics.
She was also seen at Joe's Pub and photographed there.
She was photographed with multiple producers and "music people" in a recording studio in August. It can be assumed that work for 'The Fame' was being done during this time. RedOne appears in this photo (third person to the left), which makes it more clear that this was during a session for 'The Fame'
She was also spotted out in New York city with friends, one of them being Lady Starlight.
Josie Miner photographed Gaga at Lollapalooza. She did the photoshoot and also performed at the festival on the same day (August 4, 2007).
She wore multiple different outfits for the photoshoot before changing for her performance. The disco ball bra she wore was done by Haus of Gaga.
She was also photographed backstage either before or after her performance two different times, this time in two different outfits (how many things did she pack for this night?!).
She was interviewed the same day and also attended the after party that was held at the Hard Rock Hotel (Chicago). She wore the same gold sequined shorts/panties to this party as she did at the Rated X party earlier in the year (and leopard print again too, this time even cuter!).
August seemed to be the month of the bra for Gaga. Her looks with a bra top worked wonderfully and she was seen in another look in a bra during a performance at the Knitting Factory.
Her last photoshoot of August was another professional/official shoot done by Darnell Scott. This photoshoot was for VainStyle magazine.

Gaga was only seen twice in September, once in a more formal look, and another time in a cutout black top (or possibly bodysuit).
She had a Marc Jacobs handbag with her on this night.
This night she was performing and was photographed selfie-style with with Lady Starlight, one of the DJ's of the night.
In October Gaga started wearing what would become her signature look - a blonde wig. This look would become a huge part of her overall image for her music and her fashion. She performed at The Slipper Room in one of her signature blonde wigs on October 4, 2007.
She was then seen later in the month wearing the Haus of Gaga disco bra once again.
Near the end of the month she made an appearance at La Madre Party Nightclub, where she wore a slightly more casual (but still flashy) look.
In November Gaga posed for a photoshoot done by Raquel Olivo that was done in promotion of Lady GaGa Revue, Gaga's burlesque show featuring her and her dancers. She performed one show in 2007 and another in 2008.
She was then photographed at her Lady GaGa Revue show on the 29th of November in New York.
She wore a very disco ball inspired look that reminds me slightly of Britney Spears, I feel like she looks a little bit like Britney in the first photo from the performance.
In December she was seen in three looks in one night at Beauty Bar (New York).
I assume that the off shoulder top was worn underneath the leather jacket she is wearing in the first backstage photo.
Her last 2007 appearance was out celebrating New Years with a group of friends. She was seen in a black dress with and without a leather jacket overtop.
And that concludes the busy year of 2007 for Gaga and her evolving fashion! She feels more like the Lady Gaga that we all know and love throughout these photos and outfits.
