PANIC AT THE DISCO: TOO WEIRD TO LIVE, TOO RARE TO DIE!

SCORE: 89/100. GREAT OVERALL ALBUM.

I went through a huge Panic At The Disco phase when I was a bit younger and this album brings back a lot of memories from the time where I was hooked on their music. I really loved a lot of the songs from this album and I still really do. I like the mix of rock and electropop elements and the vocal performances throughout the album are also very good.

This is just about before Panic started to change a little too much for comfort. This sound is a lot more pop than their earlier work and a little less in emo territories but it's a good, refreshing change for the band. The instrumentals come together very well and the mix of this production and the variety in the sounds presented on the album work together really well to deliver an interesting and enjoyable listening experience.

I think this is probably the best "late" Panic album with some of their best songs within it. 'Miss Jackson', 'Vegas Lights' and 'Girls/Girls/Boys' are some of their most fun songs and they honestly never get old. This album has aged quite well but it is also very fitting for the era that it came from. It's a well aged album.

'Vegas Lights' has this very late-night theme park-esque sound that I really like. I don't think I've heard any songs that are quite like it or that give the same feeling that it does. I love the almost video game like sounds throughout the instrumental of the track that get louder as the chorus comes along.

This album is just a good time all around. There are some tone shifts that work really well and nothing feels like it is overstaying its welcome, doing too much, or doing too little. It's all just right. 'Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!' is a very fun album that brings back a lot of memories for me personally which is always interesting for an album when it has some ties to you like this album does. I listened to a lot of Panic for a long time and I still love them.

Everything on this album is great and it's a very good listen overall with some clear highlights that stick out from the rest of the tracks, but these highlights manage to be some of the biggest highlights out of everything I have heard from the band. It doesn't lean too much into one mood or sound and I think it does the album a big favor overall.
